Executive Summary Purpose of this report There are no known intergenerational programs in Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) that, using a contact model, aim to enhance students’ awareness of the aging process and expand their knowledge about career opportunities in the field of geriatric care. Indeed, there are no known intergenerational programs formalized into the county’s public school academic curriculum at all. This report purposes to: †¢ provide an outline of the benefits of intergenerational programs not only to the students and elderly residents, but to the community at large †¢ propose implementing the Adopt-a-Grandfriend Project, pairing middle school students with residents of nursing and/or assisted living communities, as one such initiative. Findings and Conclusions Individuals between the ages of 80-84 are the fastest growing segment of the population in the state of Maryland. Of the nearly 5.7 million people in Maryland in 2010, 18.6% were over the age of 60. It is expected that this percentage will increase to 25.8% of Maryland’s projected population of 6.7 million by the year 2030. Throughout the world, he has been written about in a variety of different ways and is portrayed as a politician as well as a selfish dictator. Three â€Å"firsthand† accounts that were written to give us a better understanding of Julius Caesar were â€Å"The Assassination of Julius Caesar†, â€Å"Tranquillus, Gaius Suetonius†, and â€Å"Plutarch, The Assassination of Julius Caesar, from Marcus Brutus†. We will explore the writings and explain how he is viewed from those around him and compare that to the history portrayed in the History books. No mention of how he led the people or whether or not he was a good or bad leader is presented in this tale, just focusing on just the death of Julius Caesar. This first-hand account is just one of the stories that help to define Julius Caesar and describe his life and death as the Roman Emperor. This tale discusses the same assassination plot through the eyes of the Emperor himself and what was written in the archives. His account is written in a much different tone than the first and sets out to paint Julius Caesar in a much brighter light. In the previous tale not much was mentioned of Caesars style of governing, but this story labels the assassination as a conspiracy and more focused on the side of the government that was attacked as opposed to taking down a dictator. The main purpose of this paper is to explain how the division of cells is highly regulated such that cells that fail to pass some specific stage-based tests cannot advance to the proceeding stages. Basically, the cycle is directly attached to some bioenergetic and biosynthetic demands, and prior to the division process, cell components in the parent cell have to be doubled and later distributed equally to the resulting daughter cells following a division process. This work hypothesizes that addition of phosphate moieties to the CDC25C by an enzyme called Adenosine Monophosphate-activated protein kinase acts as a mediator of a metabolic checkpoint that seeks to control cell division specifically at the point where the cells are transitioning from the G2 to the M phase. The results should then be cross-checked to see if AMPK only affects CDC25C or mTORC1 independently or both at the same time.
